    When I talk about food and health frustration, it’s from personal experience.

    I was always a sick kid.

    Even though I grew up constantly complaining about stomach pain, it wasn't until I was in college that a doctor speculated my severe anemia and constipation  could be due to an autoimmune disease. Under his guidance, I followed a 30 day gluten free diet, and all my symptoms began to improve.

    Thinking it was all I needed to do to manage my autoimmunity, I followed a gluten free diet for nearly a decade, even though I was still struggling with chronic health issues. Finally in 2014, I decided to try something new - the Autoimmune Protocol. 

    Unfortunately for me, it wasn't that easy. I reverted back to my former diet within a week of starting the protocol, not once, not twice, but three separate times. Then... things finally changed.

    In addition to changing my diet on the AIP, I also started focusing on lifestyle factors like stress management, healthy relationships, and strategies to improve digestion. Within a week, my systemic inflammation started to go down. Within a few months I had resolved nearly all of my chronic health issues, and had more energy than ever.

    I began to research the strategies I had used while following the AIP, so I could share them with as many women as I could. My research led me to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where I went back to school to become a Certified Integrative Nutrition Coach. Through nutrition education and years of research, I refined the process to become this Ditch Your Nutritionist AIP program.

    + I’m struggling with an autoimmune disease and/or following the autoimmune protocol. Will Ditch Your Nutritionist support me?

    Yes! There is an AIP version of the Ditch Your Nutritionist program so you can join in while following the autoimmune protocol (AIP). While this program 100% supports those following the AIP, it does so in a very different way from other AIP approaches.

    Ditch Your Nutritionist is a template for you to customize. It guides you through a gut healing and inflammation mitigating protocol, supports you through reintroductions, and provides worksheets to help you learn how to analyze how your food and lifestyle choices are impacting your health and autoimmunity. By the end of this introspective program, you will feel supported and confident to reintroduce foods and live your life without feeling like your autoimmunity is controlling you.

    Both the standard and AIP versions of the program will be sent to you immediately after checkout. If you haven't already started the AIP, you can choose to follow a phased approach, or even begin with the standard version. The standard version is the perfect way to transition onto AIP, or optimize your diet post-AIP reintroductions.

    + When does the program start and finish?

    + Could I just find this information for free online?

    You can find just about anything online these days, but does that mean it's actually valuable? Nope. One of the reasons I created this program is because there is so much incorrect and outdated nutritional information online.

    Let me put it this way. Anyone can take random ingredients from their pantry and make a cake, but without following a recipe with specific ingredients and detailed instructions, you'll likely end up with a flat, tasteless mess. Same thing is true with nutrition. You could read a blog or listen to a podcast with outdated and incorrect information, try to figure out how to apply it to you, then sit back and hope for the best.

    Or... you could get the step by step system - minus all the BS - from your own personal health coach (that's me). Your choice. But remember, one may leave you with a bad taste in your mouth and the other may completely change your life.

    + What format is the content delivered in?

    Depending on the package you choose, the course materials are shared as video content, ebooks, live coaching calls, and workbooks for each week. So, whether you prefer to read, write, watch, or listen to the content, you'll be set.

    + Will I have to buy new equipment, supplements, and/or lab tests?

    There aren't any required appliances, supplements, or lab tests in this program. I discuss various methods for preparing nutrient dense foods (along with various appliances), and have an entire masterclass session on selective supplementation for troubleshooting, but these are completely circumstantial, and 100% optional.

    + Will my grocery bill skyrocket?

    It doesn't have to. A phased method is recommended when transitioning from a Standard American Diet (SAD) to the Ditch Your Nutritionist protocol, which will help to ease into a potential increase in grocery budget. Most of my DYN students see only a marginal increase in their grocery budget, and typically this has been offset by a reduction in their health bills, prescriptions, and dining out budgets.

    + Will I only be able to shop at specialty grocery stores?

    No way! You can choose to shop at Walmart, Aldi, or Target, or embrace your new lifestyle by shopping at Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, or your local Farmers Market. Your choice!

    + I'm busy! A full-time working mom/wife/friend/crazy person. Will I have time for this program?

    I get it. My goal is to provide you with actionable, step by step information that you can implement right away… not “fluff” that sends you in a million different directions.

    You’re saving time by joining Ditch Your Nutritionist and getting an actual system and process to accomplish your health goals, rather than taking shots in the dark and figuring things out on your own.

    Each weekly blueprint breaks down the content into tasks that will take you about 45 minutes each or less. You can work through each weeks content all at once, or spread it out throughout the week (I provide a recommended timeline). Since the Ditch Your Nutritionist program is phased, you're able to move through the program at your own speed.

    + What if I'm traveling/celebrating birthdays/spending the holiday at my in-laws during the program?

    You're good! You're able to start and stop, and even re-start the program as needed for your schedule.

    That being said, the ideal time to start a life changing program like Ditch Your Nutritionist, is now. Don't overthink it, and don't wait for a proverbial 'opening in your calendar'. If you do, you'll likely find that there is at least one upcoming event happening during the 6 week program that will prevent you from complying with the diet. Birthdays (yours, your bestie's, your coworker's), anniversaries, holidays, etc. will be happening literally every single month.

    At some point you have to decide that the higher priority is your health, and not the foods you'll potentially indulge in during the inevitable celebrations that will be happening.

    + Will I be hungry on the program?

    Hell no! It's true that Phase 1 is an elimination phase, but you won't only be excluding certain foods from your diet for these 3 weeks. There is an entire list of foods, many of which may be new to you, for you to include in your diet to ensure you're satisfied and not starving.
